Visitors to the close-knit port city of Al Wakrah will be greeted by a spectacular view of this iconic new stadium, with a design inspired by dhow boats.

The stadium is nearing completion, with the last few seats being installed. The pitch was laid in record time – only 9 hours and 15 minutes. The finishing touches are being applied to the façade and final checks on the stadium architecture are under way. Meanwhile, landscaping around the stadium complex, featuring 800 new trees and 200,000m2 of parkland, is ongoing.
